Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Marucho FC's Matias Celino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matias Llanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Jon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matias Llanos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Raymond in the 5th minute of the match. Placido Jon took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matias Llanos. Matias Llanos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 11th minute, Marucho FC's Matias Celino dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Placido Jon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Matias Llanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Blasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Gasteiz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Matias Celino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marucho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matias Celino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erubiel Gasteiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Marucho FC's Matias Celino in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marucha's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Marucha's zone, Matias Celino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Gasteiz came out of the goal and Matias Celino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Matias Celino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Marucha's Placido Jon in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marucho FC's goalie prevented a goal. Matias Celino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matias Celino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Gasteiz having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matias Celino in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erubiel Gasteiz saved Marucha from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Placido Jon to make the kick off. If Matias Celino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marucho FC's Matias Llanos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Marucho FC from getting a goal against them. 60 minutes into the match, Marucho FC's goalkeeper Matias Llanos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Raymond. After having played for 61 minutes, Placido Jon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marucha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Placido Jon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Marucha's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Blasi came free, but Erubiel Gasteiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Llanos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Placido Jon, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 81st minute Bruno Blasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Oihan, 86 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 90th minute Edgard Oihan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marucha's Placido Jon got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marucho FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marucha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
