The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Ospetsu during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Ernesto Ospetsu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Salamon in the 15th minute of play forced Tacural AFC's goalkeeper Epifanio Itzaina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Rafael Nesor managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Tacural AFC's Alfredo Atarrabi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valentin Salamon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Epifanio Itzaina having to make a save. In the 24th minute, Valentin Salamon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Desiderio Lizardi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Epifanio Itzaina. Tacural AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Desiderio Lizardi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the Tacural AFC defense, Desiderio Lizardi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Itzaina. The Tacural AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Itzaina should have stopped the shot. When Alfredo Atarrabi came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Tacural AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Atarrabi couldn't finish the play. If Martin Txindoki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo Atarrabi got free with Rafael Nesor in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Salamon in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Epifanio Itzaina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Txindoki made a kick off. Rafael Nesor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Atarrabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New City FC's Rafael Nesor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Txindoki in the 57th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Tacural AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Millan. If Alfredo Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Atarrabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Valentin Salamon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Itzaina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Desiderio Lizardi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Epifanio Itzaina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, New City FC's Epifanio Itzaina threw himself towards the right post 73 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valentin Salamon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Tacural AFC's Genaro Amato got a free kick in the 74th minute. Epifanio Itzaina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Desiderio Lizardi in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute Alfredo Atarrabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Nesor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofilo Harri hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cecilio Dubardo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Nesor. New City FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 86th minute, Valentin Salamon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Epifanio Itzaina. The goal made the score 1-4.
