Abuela FC's Americo Furman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Abuela FC from getting a goal against them. When Salvador Onbera came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Recalde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvador Onbera couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Recalde:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abuela FC:s goal. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Abuela FC. Leonardo Frasquito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Serafino Giro. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Abuela FC's zone, Pastor Eduino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Furman came out of the goal and Pastor Eduino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Americo Furman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Onbera in the 27th minute of play. If Gaspar Pueblo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pastor Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Americo Furman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abuela FC's Americo Furman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Onbera in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Recalde booed when Abuela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Mergildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Americo Furman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Eduino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
