When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in De Gulden Draak's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siim Kikas came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute of the match Dieter Strelow shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Siim Kikas in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
