Gaudencio Gaitan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Jurdan in the 4th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Nogoyá FC got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Feliz. After recieving a nice pass, Nottingham Forrest's Anacleto Calixto tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tadeo Endura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Nottingham Forrest's Jeremias Sandalio got control of the ball when Tadeo Endura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nottingham Forrest's Jeremias Sandalio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Nottingham Forrest from getting a goal against them. If Tadeo Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forrest's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Urtzi came free, but Jeremias Sandalio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forrest's goalkeeper Jeremias Sandalio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Endura. Tadeo Endura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto Feliz struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Jeremias Sandalio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nogoyá FC. Gaudencio Gaitan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Uzuri in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Manuel Enaut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Esteve Jurdan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iker Urtzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Sandalio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Nogoyá FC's zone, Tomas Uzuri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Gaitan came out of the goal and Tomas Uzuri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iker Urtzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Sandalio having to interfere. Iker Urtzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jeremias Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Eriberto Feliz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nogoyá FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nottingham Forrest the free kick. Eriberto Feliz kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Tadeo Endura came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Nogoyá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeo Endura couldn't finish the play. If Tadeo Endura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Feliz was shown his second yellow card after 78 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 80th minute Tomas Uzuri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Gaitan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeo Endura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Sandalio having to interfere. Gaudencio Gaitan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Jurdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Tomas Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nottingham Forrest's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Uzuri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Gaitan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Uzuri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Gaudencio Gaitan made a huge save. The supporters of Nottingham Forrest booed when Nogoyá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Urtzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
