The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabio Videl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeronimo Chap, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Lumb FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeronimo Chap came free, but Fabio Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Jeronimo Chap shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeronimo Chap recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jeronimo Chap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lumb FC's Fabio Videl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeronimo Chap in the 43rd minute of play. Dante Egun struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Geronimo Galeno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lumb FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Placido Huly made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lumb FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Aureliano Che hit a great ball. Geronimo Galeno was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Igor Honesto. 60 minutes into the game, Norberto Gartzea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poblet FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lumb FC the free kick. Lumb FC's Herminio Katia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Poblet FC. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lumb FC's goalkeeper Fabio Videl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ivan Tabby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Lumb FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Herminio Katia hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lumb FC's goalkeeper Fabio Videl, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner ended in Guaberto Cordarrol almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lumb FC's Fabio Videl did a great save. A collision led to Lumb FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Fabricio Vigil hit a great ball. Norberto Gartzea might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Videl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Gartzea ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabio Videl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Tabby in the 92nd minute of the match. Jeronimo Chap took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Videl. Fabio Videl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
