In the 19th minute Pascual Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Astrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascual Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jairo Astrada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Astrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Edur, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deseado AFC's goalkeeper Jairo Astrada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. German Terciero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Segundo Eguntsenti in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Jorge Edur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo Astrada was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Jaume in the 33rd minute of play forced CLUB ATLETICO VÉLEZ's goalkeeper German Terciero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Pascual Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CLUB ATLETICO VÉLEZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascual Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jairo Astrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Deseado AFC's Donato Jaume got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 84 minutes of play, Deseado AFC's Donato Jaume made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. German Terciero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marco Prejun kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Jorge Edur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deseado AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while CLUB ATLETICO VÉLEZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
