The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Pio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eriberto Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Arnaldo Argider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prudencio Abella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Chabás AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Laurin came free, but Arnaldo Argider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Muno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres Pio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Roberto Cerilo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Flores recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto Laurin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Argider having to interfere. Raul Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. If Jorge Muno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The wind increased when Eriberto Laurin made the kick off in the second half. Andres Pio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Ascensión's Prudencio Abella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnaldo Argider narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Epifanio Jerold might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Argider. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Abella in the 66th minute of play forced Chabás AFC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Argider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Ascensión's Andres Pio got control of the ball when Jorge Muno tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Muno got free with Andres Pio in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andres Pio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Flores in the 81st minute of the match. Apolo Flores sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adrian Egun's late challenge caught a Ascensión's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Egun helped the player get up and apologised. Adrian Egun kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Eriberto Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ascensión's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Laurin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Argider breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ascensión were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chabás AFC for a fine match.
