The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolando Garaona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Vergaray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piquete's Marcelo Dolfo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 10th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cieneguita FC. After 14 minutes, Marcelo Dolfo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piquete and the Cieneguita FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcelo Dolfo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Calixto in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abel Gaufred prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Romulo Danel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Piquete's Abel Gaufred got control of the ball when Romulo Danel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvaro Calixto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abel Gaufred read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Romulo Danel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Abel Gaufred skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Bernebe in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Garaona saved Cieneguita FC from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, Cieneguita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Vergaray came free, but Rolando Garaona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Epifanio Bernebe made a kick off. A collision led to Piquete getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eduardo Lucian hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Cieneguita FC's Justo Euloxu tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cieneguita FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Epifanio Bernebe scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Garaona, making the score, 0-1. In the 64th of the match, Epifanio Bernebe tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Rolando Garaona got in the way and made a wonderful save. Leo Manny kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cieneguita FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Epifanio Bernebe scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Garaona, making the score, 0-2. Justo Euloxu fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 75th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. 75 minutes into the match, Cieneguita FC's Justo Euloxu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Gaufred narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cieneguita FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. The Cieneguita FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Piquete's performance. The match ended with a win for Piquete.
