The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabio Perez hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Iaki in the 9th minute of play forced Peña's goalkeeper Alfonso Onofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes Peña got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Perez. After a defensive mix-up in Peña's zone, Felipe Hanni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Onofre came out of the goal and Felipe Hanni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaudencio Pagomari kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Leo Gudesteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Segio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Onofre made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Felipe Hanni sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 31 minutes, Florencio Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Renuncie al Manager's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Iaki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leo Gudesteo scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Segio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Segio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Gudesteo in the 36th minute of play. If Felipe Hanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anastasio Mitxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Segio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Peña's zone, Felipe Hanni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfonso Onofre came out of the goal and Felipe Hanni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Segio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Mitxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leo Gudesteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Felipe Hanni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Onofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Felipe Hanni came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Renuncie al Manager fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Hanni couldn't finish the play. Alfonso Onofre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florencio Iaki's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Peña's Fabio Perez got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 71st match minute, Renuncie al Manager was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florencio Iaki to maneuver through the defense. Florencio Iaki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alfonso Onofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Jorrin hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Anastasio Mitxel in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristian Segio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Peña's Alfonso Onofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Iaki in the 81st minute of play. Alfonso Onofre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gogo Jenaro went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
