The crowd rose to their feet as Egaña AFC's Ricardo Cordarius slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Montel. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Benito Oso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Ricardo Cordarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Baladi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute Baldomero Baladi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Abalos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Oso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Abelardo Montel made a huge save. When Ruperto Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Don Ramon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Escobar couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Baladi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Abalos having to interfere. Christian Abalos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomero Baladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Ricardo Cordarius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Egaña AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Cordarius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Benito Oso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardo Cordarius to strike the kick off in the second half. Elias Salomon hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Emiliano Goiz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 58th minute, Baldomero Baladi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Oso struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Abelardo Montel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egaña AFC. Abelardo Montel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Cordarius in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Egaña AFC's goalkeeper Christian Abalos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomero Baladi. Benito Oso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Montel having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Don Ramon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Cordarius came free, but Abelardo Montel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Don Ramon FC's Emiliano Goiz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Don Ramon FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
