Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edelmiro Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Jacob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Virgilio Ricart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgilio Ricart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edelmiro Neto in the 25th minute. Güemes were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Poker FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joaquin Lope took the corner. Joaquin Lope made a great header on Güemes's corner, it was just that Poker FC's Virgilio Ricart managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Bihar in the 30th minute of play forced Güemes's goalkeeper Aristides Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Jonathan Jacob fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Edelmiro Netos short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Virgilio Ricart to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute Jonathan Jacob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Ricart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ismael Rius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Jacob to strike the kick off in the second half. Güemes's Aristides Vitin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Güemes from getting a goal against them. In the 58th match minute, Güemes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Fernandez to maneuver through the defense.
