After 16 played minutes Palominos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Martinez. Javier Eliu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rocket Athletic F.C's Eustacio Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Ado in the 20th minute of play. Braulio Olivieros short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Bernardino Pedroso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Baltasar Jacob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eustacio Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Andres Ado put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Eustacio Ponc. Rocket Athletic F.C's Eustacio Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Ado in the 29th minute of play. Eustacio Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 36 played minutes Palominos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Hitzeder. In the 37th minute of the match, Braulio Oliviero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernardino Pedroso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After having played for 39 minutes, Feliciano Selatse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rocket Athletic F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliciano Selatse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot by Amancio Rexino from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Bernardino Pedroso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Bernardino Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andres Ado made a kick off. If Aureliano Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Braulio Oliviero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Pedroso having to interfere. The supporters of Palominos AFC booed when Rocket Athletic F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Lauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Acosta was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 62nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Ado in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustacio Ponc saved Rocket Athletic F.C from getting behind. After some careless play in the Palominos AFC defense, Aureliano Franco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardino Pedroso. The Palominos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardino Pedroso should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Braulio Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltasar Jacob in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eustacio Ponc, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Eustacio Ponc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bernardino Pedroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Franco in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute Braulio Oliviero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Guillelmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eustacio Ponc was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Baltasar Jacob showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 85 minute of play.
