Abelardo Luix kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Filomeno Igon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mártires's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olivos City F.C. the free kick. Maximiliano Tohias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filomeno Igon was shown his second yellow card after 15 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Abelardo Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tercero having to interfere. Olivos City F.C.'s Osvaldo Atauri pulled a muscle in his leg after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Arturo Natal fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mártires's protests and gave Arturo Natal a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Raymond walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The crowd rose to their feet as Abelardo Luix kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Tercero. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Armando Millan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Saturnino Senio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Abelardo Luix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Tercero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Luix in the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Inocencio Baldovino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paulo Tercero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Luix in the 53rd minute of the match. Urbano Procopio hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Olivos City F.C.'s Joel Raymond tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 58 minutes, Norberto Salomon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olivos City F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Salomon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Natalio Pirmin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tercero having to interfere. Inocencio Baldovino hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Paulo Tercero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Luix in the 69th minute of the match. Epifanio Rafel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Paulo Tercero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abelardo Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Tercero having to interfere. Inocencio Baldovino charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Baldovino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inocencio Baldovino kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Epifanio Rafel kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Mártires's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Luix came free, but Paulo Tercero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epifanio Rafel struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Paulo Tercero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olivos City F.C.. 86 minutes into the game, Olivos City F.C.'s Abelardo Luix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paulo Tercero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Paulo Tercero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Luix in the 92nd minute of play. Norberto Salomon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute Abelardo Luix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Tercero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mártires's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
