But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Honrio couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Gaitan in the 12th minute of play forced Inriville's goalkeeper Martin Phelipe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Phelipe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severiano Herauso in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Inriville's goalkeeper Martin Phelipe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severiano Herauso. After a defensive mix-up in Inriville's zone, Tobias Gaitan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Phelipe came out of the goal and Tobias Gaitan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eleuterio Llanos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. Severiano Herauso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Phelipe having to interfere. A collision led to riverjony getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Desiderio Etxatxu hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Inriville's Eduardo Vincent sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ramiro Ugaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute of the match Bartolo Guzman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Ugaitz skillfully saved the ball. If Camilo Cidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Gaitan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Bernat helped the player get up and apologised. riverjony's Ramiro Ugaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Vincent in the 67th minute of play. During the 70th minute of the match Manuel Bernat completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Manuel Bernat a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Blas Gai, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 79 minutes into the match, riverjony's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Vincent came free, but Ramiro Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eleuterio Llanos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ramiro Ugaitz made a huge save. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
