The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Elias Gerazan, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fermin Rius was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Maximino Erauso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Fanuco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Oskitz having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Freddy Rosalio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JOGP the free kick. A collision led to Villada getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Freddy Rosalio hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match, Elias Gerazan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fermin Rius saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cristobal Lizar kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, JOGP's Maximino Erauso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fermin Rius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. JOGP's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristobal Lizar in the 36th minute. JOGP's Ruben Naldo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fermin Rius in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fermin Rius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Gerazan in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Evaristo Fanuco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leonides Oskitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fermin Rius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximino Erauso in the 43rd minute. Alberto Eguntsenti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Leonides Oskitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Fanuco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Artemio Abaurre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fermin Rius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Erauso in the 58th minute of play forced Villada's goalkeeper Fermin Rius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Candido Iratxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Oskitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Candido Iratxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ruben Naldo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fermin Rius. Villada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. JOGP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villada the free kick. In the 88th match minute, JOGP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. If Uriel Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
