The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Maximo Bento's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Aznaro was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Maximo Bento had several of the Hunter FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Gustavo Aznaro as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benicio Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Senon having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Shantala in the 21st minute of play forced Apache FC's goalkeeper Remigio Senon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benicio Shantala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Senon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Benicio Shantala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th match minute, Apache FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celedonio Rodas to maneuver through the defense. If Benicio Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Apache FC's Maximo Bento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Aznaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benicio Shantala scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remigio Senon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Remigio Senon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Emeterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Erubiel Cristofor charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erubiel Cristofor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Apache FC's Geronimo Demesio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hunter FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Maximo Bento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gustavo Aznaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Saul Isauro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Apache FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Isauro couldn't finish the play. Saul Isauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacinto Emeterio might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Remigio Senon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Emeterio ran back to his position shaking his head. Apache FC's Remigio Senon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Apache FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 75 minutes, Saul Isauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apache FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Isauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience cheered when Geronimo Demesio's long shot passed Gustavo Aznaro's right side. It was 2-1, 78 minutes into the match. With his leg Remigio Senon managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Hunter FC's Jacinto Emeterio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jacinto Emeterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute, Celedonio Rodas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Hunter FC got a corner. Apache FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Laffitte ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Hunter FC's Ramiro Laffitte to fire away a dangerous shot which Remigio Senon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hunter FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
