The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelo Txatxu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Oliverios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20thth minute of the game Saturnino Ferman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tartagal AFC's Santo Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tartagal AFC's Santo Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Ferman in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Tartagal AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bonifacio Lekubegi hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Romulo Perfecto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tartagal AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romulo Perfecto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Txatxu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Esteban Isusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind TAKAWISHI's goalkeeper Marcelo Txatxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santo Colon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Ferman in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Tartagal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Oliverios came free, but Santo Colon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Tartagal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Ebardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 42ndth minute of the game Saturnino Ferman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tartagal AFC's Santo Colon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of TAKAWISHI booed when Tartagal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Ebardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute of the match TAKAWISHI got a corner. Tartagal AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernan Nazario ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Hernan Nazario almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tartagal AFC's Santo Colon did a great save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 55th minute, Ermegildo Vigil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Nazario took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santo Colon. Tartagal AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Saturnino Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Santo Colon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Ferman in the 60th minute of play forced Tartagal AFC's goalkeeper Santo Colon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind TAKAWISHI's goalkeeper Marcelo Txatxu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Orixe, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Tartagal AFC's Santo Colon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Ferman in the 80th minute of play. Saturnino Ferman struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Santo Colon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TAKAWISHI. If Pascual Orixe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
