The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Abajas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, one of CoLoN De SanTa Fe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CoLoN De SanTa Fe. Venancio Medina shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jeronimo Jenaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Roberto Criston dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the last second Fabricio Burni throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ramiro Ticho in the 30thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Jeronimo Jenaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Criston having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Jeronimo Jenaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raíces's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeronimo Jenaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Criston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roberto Criston didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jose Olando went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Domingues during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 played minutes CoLoN De SanTa Fe got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Domingues. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ramiro Ticho made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of CoLoN De SanTa Fe booed when Raíces was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Medina didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Ramiro Ticho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Burni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, CoLoN De SanTa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Baleren came free, but Roberto Criston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
