After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Generoso Merexildo managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Merexildo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Iturri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Generoso Merexildo made a precise shot to the right of Leonardo Iturri. ► EL MILLO FC ►'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of ► EL MILLO FC ► booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Rico in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alejo Nofre saved River Plate from getting behind. Leonardo Iturri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Mel, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Generoso Merexildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Mel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Iturri having to interfere. A collision led to ► EL MILLO FC ► getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Hermengildo Brais hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Luciano Mel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of ► EL MILLO FC ► booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Cordairo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

► EL MILLO FC ►'s Leonardo Iturri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimeno Gonzo in the 54th minute of play. In the 58th minute, ► EL MILLO FC ►'s Rolando Bernaldo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alejo Nofre. Alejo Nofre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Generoso Merexildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Leonardo Iturri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Generoso Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Iturri having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, ► EL MILLO FC ►'s Rolando Bernaldo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alejo Nofre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Generoso Merexildo's late challenge caught a ► EL MILLO FC ►'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Merexildo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Generoso Merexildo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Bernaldo in the 73rd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Alejo Nofre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejo Nofre made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Salvador Rico sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 88 minutes, Rolando Bernaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ► EL MILLO FC ►'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Bernaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Rolando Bernaldo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ► EL MILLO FC ► fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Bernaldo couldn't finish the play. Rolando Bernaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alejo Nofre having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
