Colastiné's Marcelo Ekhi got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Ekhi in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jesus Tano saved Merayo from getting behind. Jesus Tano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Amador Cambranes. After some careless play in the Merayo defense, Prudencio Guillelme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesus Tano. The Merayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Tano should have stopped the shot. Leo Iruinea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colastiné's Mateo Victoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Oskarbi in the 33rd minute of play. If Paolo Oskarbi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Leo Iruinea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Victoro was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Marcelo Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
