Elvio Fonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Joachim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Fonso having to interfere. Elvio Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Dubardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Teodoro Joachim made a precise shot to the right of Elvio Fonso. Hale AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Dubardo in the 55th minute of play forced Hale AFC's goalkeeper Elvio Fonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Erasmo Dubardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hale AFC's Elvio Fonso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Hale AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Constantino Veremundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Hale AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Dubardo came free, but Elvio Fonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Navia played a much better game than Hale AFC and deserved their victory. The Hale AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
