The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute Leon Bernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prospero Nastasio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Las Toscas's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Llorienzo came free, but Albano Polo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Rosio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Albano Polo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Las Toscas's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Hermelando came free, but Albano Polo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Americo Hermelando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zelaya AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leon Bernat made the kick off in the second half. With 52 minutes on the clock, Alejandro Acuña commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 51 minutes into the game, one of Zelaya AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Las Toscas. Faustino Ruisko stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Prospero Nastasio. 1-2. Armando Kepa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prospero Nastasio having to interfere. Albano Polo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Llorienzo in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Zelaya AFC defense, Leon Bernat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prospero Nastasio. The Zelaya AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prospero Nastasio should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Primitivo Rosio got free with Albano Polo in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonzalo Firmin charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Zelaya AFC's zone, Leon Bernat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Nastasio came out of the goal and Leon Bernat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Leon Bernat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zelaya AFC's Prospero Nastasio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Kepa in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Armando Kepa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Toscas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Las Toscas had won after a very even match.
