Higinio Elorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Maximino Weather tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monigotes AFC's Esteban Baristo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Perpinya during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Indumentaria Mercedes's Leonel Perpinya got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Teodoro Hernando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monigotes AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indumentaria Mercedes the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Monigotes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Hernando to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Hernando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jeremias Blanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Perpinya hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Astor Quinton during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Monigotes AFC's Astor Quinton got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jeremias Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Hernando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Araoz in the 51st minute of play forced Monigotes AFC's goalkeeper Maximino Weather to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Indumentaria Mercedes's goalkeeper Jeremias Blanco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Baristo. With his leg Jeremias Blanco managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Monigotes AFC's Esteban Baristo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Teodoro Hernando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Teodoro Hernando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Elorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Weather having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Oliveiro during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucas Oliveiro hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Higinio Elorri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Weather having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Esteban Baristo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monigotes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Baristo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Blanco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute Higinio Elorri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Weather saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Cai hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jorge Urtsin charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Urtsin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, one of Monigotes AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Monigotes AFC. The referee gave Indumentaria Mercedes a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Domingos Toro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Monigotes AFC's Maximino Weather. 1-0. 96 minutes into the match, Monigotes AFC's Esteban Baristo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Blanco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Monigotes AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
