The Anfama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arnaldo Selmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Mateo in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Anfama's goalkeeper Arnaldo Selmo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Caradaro. After 11 minutes of play, Jipa's Elpidio Caradaro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnaldo Selmo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnaldo Selmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timoteo Mateo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Elpidio Caradaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Arnaldo Selmo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Salvador Pelayo struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Fernan Ascencio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anfama. Esteban Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Valente's late challenge caught a Anfama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Valente helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Anfama booed when Jipa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Selmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Mateo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Federico Valente was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 32 minutes had been played. In the 33rd match minute, Jipa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Valente to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jipa's goalkeeper Fernan Ascencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Esteban Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Esteban Hunfredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernan Ascencio. Jipa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esteban Hunfredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Pelayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Jipa's Eliseo Henry got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Elpidio Caradaro came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Jipa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Caradaro couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Esteban Hunfredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Pelayo in the 63rd minute of play forced Jipa's goalkeeper Fernan Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Esteban Hunfredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Serafo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Timoteo Mateo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Maurino shot from long distance in the 69th minute, but Fernan Ascencio was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. With a little luck, Jipa's Fernan Ascencio got control of the ball when Salvador Pelayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute Eliseo Henry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Elpidio Caradaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Anfama! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Jipa. Jaime Roldan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnaldo Selmo. 2-2. Salvador Pelayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fernan Ascencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
