Luis Mingo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Aldo Bordat made a huge save. In the 31st minute Pablo Naelio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Bordat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Borussia Dortmund's Aldo Bordat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Herminio Artizar took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Garcia. Manuel Garcia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herminio Artizar was the one to do the kick off. Aldo Bordat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Borussia Dortmund's Teofilo Socorro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Teofilo Socorro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Borussia Dortmund protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teofilo Socorro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Holdich AFC a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nicolas Endura, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Borussia Dortmund's Aldo Bordat. 1-1. Pablo Naelio struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Pablo Naelio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holdich AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Naelio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Bordat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urbano Olayo in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Garcia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Holdich AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
