A collision led to defensores getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Eustaquio Aragones hit a great ball. Albino Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicanor Pepillo having to interfere. Epifanio Menendo came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ya Vuelvo's Diego Pierres. But to his dismay, Diego Pierres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ya Vuelvo's Victor Patxi got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Patxi in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Epifanio Menendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Ya Vuelvo booed when defensores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Patxi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Epifanio Menendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celso Peruxu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind defensores's goalkeeper Epifanio Menendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, defensores's Leo Raymundo got a free kick in the 46th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albino Elazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Pepillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albino Elazar in the 57th minute of the match. The referee ignored Ya Vuelvo's protests and gave Nicasio Corderro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute of the match Ivan Aznar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicanor Pepillo skillfully saved the ball. The Ya Vuelvo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
