In the 4th minute, Queso Ruso FC's Mariano Jacob dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Camilo Frasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Joel Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustino Tulio in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximino Faro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Jacob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Joel Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Queso Ruso FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Eutor. 30 minutes into the match, Atlético Tucuman's Filomeno Rosario broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albino Oton during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes Queso Ruso FC got a freekick which was hit by Albino Oton. Baldomero Benvide struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Maximino Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Tucuman. Mariano Jacob was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Queso Ruso FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Camilo Frasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Atlético Tucuman getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Justino Hurko hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Queso Ruso FC's Aquilino Haritzeder tried to score from far away in the 46th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Jacob made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Camilo Frasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Queso Ruso FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Frasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Gorbea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Jacob scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Gorbea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Atlético Tucuman booed when Queso Ruso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Umbruso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Tulio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Faro having to interfere. Faustino Tulio struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Maximino Faro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Tucuman. Joel Gorbea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Jacob, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Camilo Frasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Joel Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Tulio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Maximino Faro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Atlético Tucuman's Faustino Tulio got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo Eutor hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 94 minutes, Carlos Cebo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queso Ruso FC and the Atlético Tucuman players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Queso Ruso FC's Carlos Cebo got a free kick in the 95th minute. Filomeno Rosario was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
