Toro booed when Unión was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Laffitte didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Jeronimo Evarado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Toro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Evarado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Jeronimo Evarado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laureano Lauren. Unión's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeronimo Evarado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 22 minutes, Jeronimo Evarado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Toro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeronimo Evarado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Argoitz in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natalio Iago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Perez during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 32 minutes, Victorino Argoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unión's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Argoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruperto Bastia scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Iago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Victorino Argoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Natalio Iago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Victorino Argoitz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Natalio Iago. That made the score 2-1 in the 44 minute of play. Unión's Victorino Argoitz was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 48th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorino Argoitz to strike the kick off in the second half. If Victorino Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Unión's Timoteo Laffitte got a free kick in the 68th minute. Victorino Argoitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Natalio Iago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Argoitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeronimo Evarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natalio Iago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Laffitte, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Primitivo Perez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 84 minutes had been played. In the 85th minute, Primitivo Perez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Gabrio in the 92nd minute of play forced C.A. Toro's goalkeeper Natalio Iago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Unión getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Victorino Argoitz hit a great ball. If Ruperto Bastia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Unión had played much better football throughout.
