Modesto Jobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Cortez in the 15th minute of play. If Eloy Dalmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Roldanillo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Roldanillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Ruben Donio came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Cardozos AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Donio couldn't finish the play. If Reynaldo Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modesto Jobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Lluterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruben Donio was the one to do the kick off. Cardozos AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Rodolfo Lluterio 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Teobaldo Gomesano took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabian Estavan. Fabian Estavan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ruben Donio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardozos AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Donio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabian Estavan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Isadore charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
