The audience was convinced that Victor Pepillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cleto Pelagius was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Florentino Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Pelagius having to interfere. Cleto Pelagius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Pepillo in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chancay AFC's goalkeeper Cleto Pelagius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cleto Pelagius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Mede in the 11th minute of the match. If Victor Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Viviano in the 24th minute of play forced Chancay AFC's goalkeeper Cleto Pelagius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleto Pelagius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Pepillo in the 26th minute of the match. Emanuel Rodas struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rius Rulan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chancay AFC. Cleto Pelagius came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Chatran FC's Florentino Mede. But to his dismay, Florentino Mede quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 35th minute Victor Pepillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Pelagius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Chatran FC's Victor Pepillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Pelagius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Filiberto Francho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Rodas to make the kick off. Florentino Mede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Pelagius having to interfere. Victor Pepillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cleto Pelagius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Florentino Mede could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Cleto Pelagius made a huge save. In the 67th play minute Florentino Mede came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cleto Pelagius. 0-2. Cleto Pelagius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Pepillo in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Patricio Viviano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Rodas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cleto Pelagius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Pepillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Pepillo in the 89th minute of play forced Chancay AFC's goalkeeper Cleto Pelagius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chatran FC's Victor Pepillo got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chatran FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
