In the 5thth minute of the game Lorenzo Eskuin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Matheu's Octavio Pagomari was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lorenzo Eskuin sped through Matheu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octavio Pagomari. Octavio Pagomari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Eskuin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 23 minutes, Tiburcio Indartsu made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Patriotas's Leonel Bonifaco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiburcio Indartsu in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Bonifaco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Teyo struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. A wasted opportunity for Matheu. 38 minutes into the game, Matheu's Bernardo Teyo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Bonifaco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After having played for 42 minutes, Tiburcio Indartsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matheu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiburcio Indartsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Indartsu in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonel Bonifaco saved Patriotas from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Lorenzo Eskuin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonel Bonifaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiburcio Indartsu in the 56th minute of the match. Patriotas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matheu the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Patriotas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Koldo to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Gaizkine's late challenge caught a Matheu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Gaizkine helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, Patriotas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Gaizkine to maneuver through the defense.
