After having played for 22 minutes, Honorato Martino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atl. Libertador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorato Martino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camilo Iliana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Bernabel having to interfere. Camilo Iliana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gaspar Bernabel made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Atl. Libertador's zone, Virgilio Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Bernabel came out of the goal and Virgilio Acevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaspar Bernabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Acevedo in the 32nd minute of the match. Blas Oalo hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Atl. Libertador's Primitivo Muno couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for IZIT Club. Virgilio Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Acevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gaspar Bernabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorato Martino in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornelio Lehoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honorato Martino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Lehoi having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Acevedo made a kick off. Anastasio Guillen struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Cornelio Lehoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atl. Libertador.
