Saturnino Cordera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Belarmo in the 36th minute of play. Blas Seguinus's late challenge caught a Santa Clara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blas Seguinus made a kick off. Saturnino Cordera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Belarmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Oscar Emeterio took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saturnino Cordera. Saturnino Cordera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Santa Clara's Oscar Emeterio got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th match minute, Union Apeadero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Cordera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Emeterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77thth minute of the game Severo Belarmo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Union Apeadero's Saturnino Cordera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Santa Clara's Saturnino Cordera threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oscar Emeterio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Oscar Emeterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Saturnino Cordera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Emeterio in the 84th minute of play forced Union Apeadero's goalkeeper Saturnino Cordera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Union Apeadero's Saturnino Cordera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Union Apeadero from getting a goal against them. Oscar Emeterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Oscar Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oscar Emeterio came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Santa Clara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Emeterio couldn't finish the play. Saturnino Cordera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Emeterio in the 96th minute of play. Santa Clara played a much better game than Union Apeadero and deserved their victory. The Union Apeadero players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
