Dante Dino hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Gregorio Figueroa fired a really elegant long shot, but Remigio Louis threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Gavino Bakar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Natal. VN FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, VN FC's Rolando Barros got a free kick in the 36th minute. Remigio Louis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Eudoxio's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Giga fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gregorio Figueroa was slow to take the kick. During this time VN FC's players had a chance to rest. Remigio Louis was a little too slow when Reynaldo Araoz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Rene Iztal in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Augusto Natal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Orlando Eudoxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Esteve Osoro made a precise shot to the right of Remigio Louis. Giga fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Sergio Elizardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Natal having to interfere. Rene Iztal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Augusto Natal made a huge save. Rene Iztal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Augusto Natal having to make a save. VN FC's Gregorio Figueroa was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remigio Louis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
