Una Mantecaaa's Armando Mel got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Lisandro Petrigai notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Alhuampa's Marco Ermano. Marco Ermano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Zeledon Artal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Dantel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Artal, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Alfredo Alfonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Dantel having to interfere. Zeledon Artal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Frechoso during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Una Mantecaaa booed when Alhuampa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabricio Frechoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lisandro Petrigai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Alfonso made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Bruno Neron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Una Mantecaaa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alhuampa the free kick. A collision led to Una Mantecaaa getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bruno Neron hit a great ball. Zeledon Artal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Dantel having to interfere. Zeledon Artal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ignacio Dantel made a huge save. When Lisandro Petrigai came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Una Mantecaaa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Petrigai couldn't finish the play. Lisandro Petrigai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the game, Herminio Seber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alhuampa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Una Mantecaaa the free kick. A collision led to Alhuampa getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Herminio Seber hit a great ball. In the 79th minute, Lisandro Petrigai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Ermano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Alhuampa's Marco Ermano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Petrigai in the 83rd minute of play. Ignacio Dantel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Alfonso in the 84th minute of play. Alfredo Alfonso struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Ignacio Dantel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alhuampa. Zeledon Artal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ignacio Dantel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Dantel was a little too slow when Alfredo Alfonso got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 2-1.
