The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Rufio during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 11 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Canaleja's Atilano Ourente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Matei made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Atilano Ourente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Luis Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celedonio Jacindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Matei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Jaume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Serafin Rameriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute Benicio Jaume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Jaume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Luis Matei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benicio Jaume fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Matei having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Club Atlético Canaleja's Benicio Jaume dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilano Ourente got free with Luis Matei in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
Luis Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, Correa's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Jaume came free, but Luis Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético Canaleja getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Benicio Jaume hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Benicio Jaume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Celedonio Jacindo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Matei. Correa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celedonio Jacindo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 65thth minute of the game Benicio Jaume who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Correa's Luis Matei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th match minute, Correa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Rufio to maneuver through the defense. Atilano Ourente recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luis Matei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Montay, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When Atilano Ourente came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Club Atlético Canaleja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Ourente couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Correa's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Jaume came free, but Luis Matei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Benicio Jaume came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Club Atlético Canaleja fans jumped to their feet. Luis Matei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benicio Jaume in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Correa's Jaime Rufio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Beltza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Jaume in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Matei saved Correa from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club Atlético Canaleja fully deserved thier win.
