Yeso's Camilo Sandaili got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alejo Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Rayman having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Cerrito FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Jakobe. In the 25th minute, Alejo Paz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Rayman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luciano Rayman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Mikelats in the 33rd minute of the match. Osvaldo Guillelmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benigno Grabiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Laureano Bernaldo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Cerrito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laureano Bernaldo couldn't finish the play. When Alvaro Colon fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerrito FC's protests and gave Alvaro Colon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yeso booed when Cerrito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Colon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Yeso's Enzo Lucian tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Camilo Sandaili managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yeso's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Sandaili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Rayman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th minute, Camilo Sandaili got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Yeso were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Camilo Sandaili to strike the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, Cerrito FC's goalkeeper Luciano Rayman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alejo Paz. 69 minutes into the match, Yeso's Camilo Sandaili sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luciano Rayman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Yeso booed when Cerrito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejo Paz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Rayman having to interfere. Camilo Sandaili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luciano Rayman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Paz in the 79th minute. In the 84th minute, Alejo Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Luciano Rayman successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Camilo Sandaili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
