Juan Ferrando might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esteve Pudes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Ferrando ran back to his position shaking his head. After 13 played minutes Il Titan got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Veremundo. Juan Ferrando scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Esteve Pudes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 27 played minutes Il Titan got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Florin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marciano Xabat in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeo Fernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, Muertitos Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Tadeo Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltasar Sotero. Bartolo Ospetsu charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bartolo Ospetsu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Muertitos Fútbol Club's Bartolo Ospetsu got a free kick in the 37th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Muertitos Fútbol Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Il Titan:s goal. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Il Titan. Abel Paublo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tadeo Fernandez. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Tadeo Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Sotero in the 51st minute of play. After 55 played minutes, Muertitos Fútbol Club's Ismael Rito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Esteve Pudes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muertitos Fútbol Club reached it. In the 56th minute, Marciano Xabat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tadeo Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When Juan Ferrando came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Muertitos Fútbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Ferrando couldn't finish the play. Muertitos Fútbol Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
