Remigio Ceandro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Gauargi, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Julian Paublo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vinicio Norino having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Nazario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinicio Norino was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After 14 played minutes River Play got a freekick which was hit by Raul Dabi. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Julian Paublo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandera's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Paublo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Norino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remigio Ceandro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Bidari in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bandera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Play the free kick. After 70 played minutes Bandera got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lehoi. Jonathan Nazario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
