The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Talleres. The goalkeeper, Gilberto Dalmu, was totally fooled by Candelaria's Maximo Corderro, who 7 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Maximo Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candelaria's Denis Txordon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Breogan in the 16th minute of play. Talleres's Lino Gervaso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Candelaria. 23 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Sarracino came free, but Denis Txordon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Chorache's late challenge caught a Candelaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Chorache helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Candelaria booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Chorache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Genaro Dei hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alvaro Sarracino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fidel Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Dalmu having to interfere. A collision led to Candelaria getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Genaro Dei hit a great ball.

53 minutes into the game, Alvaro Sarracino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Denis Txordon. Alvaro Sarracino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Edgard Breogan scored 2-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Txordon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denis Txordon made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Edgard Breogan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Chorache in the 79th minute of play forced Candelaria's goalkeeper Denis Txordon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Corderro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 84 minutes, Maximo Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candelaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximo Corderro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jonas Chorache was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. 88 minutes into the match, Candelaria's Segundo Dalmau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Dalmu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Segundo Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Dalmu having to interfere. Maximo Corderro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Although Candelaria had been in control for most of the match, Talleres still came away with the win.
