After a defensive mix-up in hay equipo's zone, Segundo Dalmau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Richie came out of the goal and Segundo Dalmau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Jusepe in the 41st minute of play forced hay equipo's goalkeeper Teodosio Richie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candelaria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximo Corderro in the 43rd minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogelio Domenec stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sebastian Jusepe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, hay equipo could leave the field as winners, despite Candelaria having more of the ball for most of the match.
