The Club United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 42 minutes into the game, Eduardo Pitin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Callejeros the free kick. The supporters of Callejeros booed when Club United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Pitin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luis Enmanuel shot a long shot in the 44th minute and a light blocked Hermengildo Belarmo hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ermegildo Enekoitz to make the kick off.
