Bartolo Domeka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Etxatxu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baldomero Giraldo in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Leon Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Etxatxu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Fabio Jusepe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Etxatxu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Bemabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Calmayo FC's Baldomero Giraldo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Paulo Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Caton in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Guillelmo saved Calmayo FC from getting behind. In the 21st minute of the match Gustavo Nesor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Guillelmo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Epifanio Lluis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Guillelmo having to interfere. Calmayo FC's Mauro Guillelmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Caton in the 28th minute of play. Puntilla FC's Evaristo Etxatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Puntilla FC from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute Epifanio Lluis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Guillelmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulo Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Lluis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Guillelmo was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

With a little luck, Calmayo FC's Mauro Guillelmo got control of the ball when Paulo Caton tried to sneak it across the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Epifanio Lluis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauro Guillelmo. Epifanio Lluis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Epifanio Lluis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Guillelmo having to make a save. In the 69th minute, Ivan Bixintxo fired a really elegant long shot, but Mauro Guillelmo threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. When Puntilla FC's Epifanio Lluis in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Calmayo FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th minute, Leon Hug left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Calmayo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With a little luck, Calmayo FC's Mauro Guillelmo got control of the ball when Paulo Caton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roque Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Etxatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Hug, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Evaristo Etxatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Bemabe in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
