Prudencio Guib's late challenge caught a El Coloso del Norte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Guib helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Once fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet as Ruperto Paz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto Rojelio. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Sixto Nevada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bernabe Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Rojelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Paz in the 18th minute of play. After some careless play in the El Coloso del Norte defense, Damian Casomiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabe Ibañez. The El Coloso del Norte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabe Ibañez should have stopped the shot. El Coloso del Norte's Bernabe Ibañez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Nevada in the 25th minute of play. Sixto Nevada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bernabe Ibañez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Froilan Cordaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Coloso del Norte's Bernabe Ibañez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48thth minute of the game Ruperto Paz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Once's Jacinto Rojelio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ruperto Paz to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Paz in the 52nd minute of play forced Once's goalkeeper Jacinto Rojelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Coloso del Norte's Bernabe Ibañez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save El Coloso del Norte from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute Sixto Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabe Ibañez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Ruperto Paz managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Coloso del Norte's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Paz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Rojelio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Lluques in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Rojelio saved Once from getting behind. Sixto Nevada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Ibañez having to interfere. If Lucio Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damian Casomiro during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Damian Casomiro kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Ruperto Paz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jacinto Rojelio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lucio Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
