The audience was convinced that Nicolas Bizi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael Reyes was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 43rd match minute, Mascasín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Cordera to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Soter was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Felipe Gaskon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Jenaro in the 47th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Sixto Orlandus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Ricotero FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Jenaro to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Ciro Tanio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 60 played minutes Mascasín got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Beltran. The supporters of Ricotero FC booed when Mascasín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Ledesma didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ciro Tanio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ismael Reyes. Mascasín's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ciro Tanio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ricotero FC's goalkeeper Felipe Gaskon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicolas Bizi struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Ismael Reyes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ricotero FC. 80 minutes into the match, Nicolas Bizi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ismael Reyes, 0-5. Virgilio Jenaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Felipe Gaskon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Virgilio Jenaro ran back to his position shaking his head. Godfredo Nafarroa charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Nafarroa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ricotero FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Godfredo Nafarroa hit a great ball. The supporters of Mascasín booed when Ricotero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricotero FC's Felipe Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Bertran in the 99th minute of play. The Mascasín supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ricotero FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ricotero FC.
