Roque Lando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Vicente Mendez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 22nd minute Silverio Frans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Mendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Artemio Dimas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Santana was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Nicolas Raebert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iguassu's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Raebert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolas Raebert made a kick off. Silverio Frans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Lando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Mendez having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Atlético Devoto got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Illan. If Silverio Frans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artemio Dimas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Aquilino Santana made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silverio Frans in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Mendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roque Lando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Vicente Mendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
