Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ildefonso Papo in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Abilio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Cruz del Sur fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Cruz del Sur's Everardo Inguma looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cruz del Sur's Melchor Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolo Solustiano in the 27th minute of play. When Isidro Deunoro came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Gilera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Deunoro couldn't finish the play. If Isidro Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fausto Abilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Papo in the 42nd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Inguma to make the kick off. Gilera's Fausto Abilio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everardo Inguma in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Bartolo Solustiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gilera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartolo Solustiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Cruz del Sur's goal looked a bit too open when Isidro Deunoro came free, but Melchor Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Bilbo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isidro Deunoro in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melchor Nalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ildefonso Papo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Fausto Abilio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruz del Sur. Ildefonso Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Gilera getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rosendo Malvin hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Gilera's goalkeeper Fausto Abilio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ildefonso Papo. After a defensive mix-up in Gilera's zone, Everardo Inguma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Abilio came out of the goal and Everardo Inguma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76thth minute of the game Everardo Inguma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gilera's Fausto Abilio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute, Gilera's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ildefonso Papo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 80th minute, Maximo Costante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute, Cleto Olayo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gilera's Fausto Abilio didn't even have to move. When Albino Weterio fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruz del Sur's protests and gave Albino Weterio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th match minute, Cruz del Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Weterio to maneuver through the defense. Fausto Abilio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The Gilera supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cruz del Sur's performance. The match ended with a win for Cruz del Sur.
