An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Suarez in the 3rd minute of play forced Rincon's goalkeeper Epifanio Birila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Bide charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cipriano Bide the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Mariano Udalaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Pacifico charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romulo Pacifico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rincon's Serafin Iliana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 15th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Narciso Pelagius but with some difficulty. Mariano Udalaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Birila having to interfere. If Conrado Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Ledesma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Narciso Pelagius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rincon's Epifanio Birila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Udalaitz in the 23rd minute of play. Francisco Veto scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Epifanio Birila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Patricio Leobardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Birila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Epifanio Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrado Suarez in the 35th minute of play. Epifanio Birila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Leobardo in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Suarez was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Silvestre Mannuel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Rincon's Epifanio Birila got control of the ball when Mariano Udalaitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Conrado Suarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epifanio Birila having to interfere. Silvestre Mannuel hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Conrado Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Epifanio Birila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Conrado Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Rincon's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Suarez came free, but Epifanio Birila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Cubanea FC's Mariano Udalaitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epifanio Birila narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match, Mariano Udalaitz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Epifanio Birila was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conrado Suarez in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Epifanio Birila prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Leobardo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mariano Udalaitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
