In the 27th minute, Celestino Giraldo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luján AFC's goalkeeper Erubiel Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Amadeo Jeraldo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Moises Tono. Amadeo Jeraldo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After having played for 36 minutes, Celestino Giraldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samuhi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Giraldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erubiel Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Giraldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Celestino Giraldo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Samuhi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Giraldo couldn't finish the play. If Casimiro Brais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Giraldo in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anibal Oliverios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erubiel Selatse came out of the goal and Celestino Giraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Celestino Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Celestino Giraldo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Luján AFC's Erubiel Selatse. Erubiel Selatse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erubiel Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Giraldo in the 80th minute of the match.
